Cut Off Valve
Do not use the cut off valve on your meter to turn the water off. The cut off valve located in the meter box is for the use of the district only. State law prohibits tampering with this or any other utility property. You are required to have a main cutoff located outside of our meter box. Any violation to this could lead to a discontinuation of service, fines, or arrest.
Leaks
Leaks don't go away on their own they only get worse with time. They cause property damage and can become expensive to repair. Take care of leaks as soon as they are identified, it saves water, money, and limits the complications of water damage. If you're going to be gone for an extended period of time, you might consider shutting off your main water line (irrigation and sprinkling systems should be left on). This should reduce the likelihood that a leak will cause damage while you're away.
If you do experience a leak and participate in our Leak Protection program, you may be able to receive assistance from ServLine.

Customers must take care regarding landscaping around the meter box so as not to impede access to and work that the Utility may need to do to the meter and our lines. Please read this memo for further details.
