History
Our history of water service began in 1964 when needs for water in rural areas were essential. The district was born out of a vision of community leaders and residents that saw the need for clean and safe drinking water. The first building was located in Ocoee, TN and serviced about 500 customers.
Service Areas
Ocoee Utility District is based in Cleveland, Tennessee. Our service area encompasses 181 square miles of Bradley and Polk Counties. In some instances water is purchased from East Side and Cleveland Utilities to make rural areas of our district accessible to water. Major water sources are natural springs and wells in the surrounding area.
Regulatory Agencies
The Ocoee Utility District operates according to the rules and regulations as established by our Board of Commissioners in accordance with requirements of the State of Tennessee Division of Water Supply or State Tennessee Comptrollers Office, as applicable.
Quality and Commitment
Ocoee Utility District places a strong emphasis on educating customers on the quality of our drinking water. The test results in your water quality report confirm that your tap water not only meets federal and state standards for drinking water, but in most cases, it surpasses them. We make the necessary investments to maintain and upgrade our facilities, so that we can deliver quality water directly to your tap 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
